Shoulder Piece Size 12" long by 2 3/4" wide where it will cross your shoulder and tapering slightly toward the front and 2" on the tail.
Shoulder Piece Leather Soft and supple but firm enough to give it some backbone. Hand cut and shaped from a larger piece of vintage leather.
Shoulder Piece Stitching Artificial sinew hand sewn into hand punched needle holes.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level Medium. Shallow surface checking along the full length.
Shoulder Piece Notables The carefully cut and shaped strap slots and the matching leather strap guide grip the rein strap tightly. The shoulder piece will not slide on the rein strap without intentional help. Lined with new suede leather on the bottom. The curve shape favors the left shoulder of a right handed player.
Strap Style English hand laced rein.
Strap Width About 5/8".
Strap Leather Extremely nice English leather, broken in butter soft. This is an unusually long one and would finish up to 60” in length.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/low with no nicks, cuts, or scars.
Strap Notables The hand lacing is 30” long. When completed some of the lacing will be visible in front of the shoulder piece and some will visible behind it.
