This one is a Tony Rice Style strap – named after one of the greatest bluegrass guitarists of all time. The leather is old, well used and broken in butter soft. A sweet ride and the perfect companion for a vintage acoustic. At 1/8” in thickness, this is not a thin, flimsy strap but it will easily roll up into a 3 1/2″ diameter coil that will fit into the accessory compartment of your case. There is already a heel buttonhole on the front and the maximum hole to hole length I could get would be 47”.

|Shoulder Piece Size||No shoulder piece.|
|Strap Style||Cinch Strap|
|Strap Width||1 7/8"|
|Strap Leather||Originally this was a cinch strap that held the saddle and accompanying rider firmly on the horse’s back. Over many years it has been tugged and pulled as tightly as possible transforming it into a soft and supple piece of leather. The original thickness has been skived down to a heavy 1/8” and the back side is slicked smooth.|
|Strap Distressed Level||Medium/high. Some wrinkles, surface checking and an authentic vintage character that would best serve an older acoustic guitar. There are 6 original holes just above the heel buttonhole and I ran an old lacing thru them. There are two other very small holes that will be located behind your shoulder. Additional photos sent on request.|
|Strap Notables||I’ve already punched a heel button hole into the rounded front end. The back button hole (or multiple holes) will be punched in at the buyer’s specified length and the end will be rounded to match the front. Maximum hole to hole length would be 47”.|
