Shoulder Piece Size 12" long by 2 3/4" wide where it will cross your shoulder, tapering to 2 3/8” at both ends.
Shoulder Piece Leather The finest harness leather retired in the prime of its life. Thick and broken in soft and supple.
Shoulder Piece Stitching New artificial sinew hand sewn into the original needle holes.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level Medium/high. Beautiful age darkened character absent of any noticeable battle scars.
Shoulder Piece Notables The leather strap guide is made from the embossed Maker Mark ((Ozark Leather Co., Waco, Texas) that was on the pulling collar and keeps the rein strap centered on the curved shoulder piece. One of my stitches pulled thru the leather when I sewed on the strap guide but it’s not a problem or noticeable. Close-up photo sent on request. This one would be most comfortable attached to a heel button on a guitar or the bracket bolts of a banjo. Lined with new suede leather on the bottom.
Strap Style Western Rein
Strap Width 3/4”
Strap Leather Butter soft and top shelf quality. Lightly skived to level out the thickness, with original hand dressed and burnished top edges. I dressed and burnished the bottom edges and slicked it smooth on the back side.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/high. Color shaded identical to the shoulder piece but no other issues at all.
Strap Notables Fits snug in the carefully cut and shaped strap slots and the shoulder piece and will not slide without intentional help. Includes a custom set-up to buyers specs for length and attachment points. Standard buttonholes could be punched directly into the 3/4” wide strap.
