Guitar/Banjo #2074

An oversized strap with exquisite vintage character favoring the left shoulder of a right handed player. This was formerly an old and very classy equestrian breast collar and the slightly curved shape would work equally well for a heel button or headstock attachment. Fairly lightweight for its size and would easily handle any of the electrics.

Shoulder Piece Distressed Level Leather is in near perfect condition but I’d rate the distressed level as medium/high based on the vintage character alone.
Shoulder Piece Notables The strap guide is made from matching vintage leather and keeps the rein strap centered on the curved shoulder piece. Lined with new suede leather on the bottom.
Strap Style Western Rein
Strap Width 5/8"
Strap Leather Very soft, supple and well broken in harness leather. Noticeably high quality. It was a bit too thick for an instrument strap so I skived the thickness to a heavy 1/8” then dressed and burnished the bottom edges and slicked the bottom smooth.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/high. Age darkened and well cared for in a previous life. Perfect match to the shoulder piece.
Strap Notables The strap fits snug in the strap guide and the carefully cut and shaped strap slots and it will not slide thru the shoulder piece without intentional help. Includes a set-up to your specs for length and attachment points.
