Guitar/Banjo #2094

Visually aged vintage leather with beautiful character. Perfect for any acoustic although it would certainly handle an electric. With the pronounced curve of the shoulder piece, this one is not a good choice for a headstock attachment.

Shoulder Piece Size 12" long by 2 1/2" wide where it will cross your shoulder and tapering slightly toward the front and 1 1/2" on the tail. To cut this curved pattern I need to start with 4” wide vintage leather.
Shoulder Piece Leather Well aged harness leather, not too thick and very soft and supple.Top shelf quality.
Shoulder Piece Stitching Artificial sinew hand sewn into hand punched needle holes.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level Medium/high. The leather is in great condition with exceptional vintage character that would prefer an older instrument. But it certainly wouldn’t embarrass a newer one.
Shoulder Piece Notables I hand cut and shaped the shoulder piece from the best part of a larger piece of leather. The original thickness was over 1/4“ and I skived it down to 1/8”. Comfortably curved, favoring the left shoulder of a right handed player. Lined with new suede leather on the bottom.
Strap Style Western Rein
Strap Width 5/8"
Strap Leather Top shelf, soft and supple well aged harness leather. Skived slightly to level out the thickness to a heavy 1/8”. Hand dressed and burnished edges and slicked smooth on the back side.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/high.. No serious cuts, nicks, or battle scars – just a handsome western rein strap with exceptionally nice vintage character. Spot on match to the shoulder piece.
Strap Notables This one is from the Schutz Bros - one of the cowboys favorite tack shops - and the Maker Mark that was on the end of the rein is now the strap guide on the shoulder piece.
