Strap Leather Originally this was the strap that held the saddle and accompanying rider firmly on the horse’s back. Over many years it has been tugged and pulled as tightly as possible transforming it into a soft and supple piece of leather. It’s unskived at the original thickness of a heavy 1/8” and the backside is worn smooth. This is an exceptionally nice piece of vintage leather and unrivaled by anything you’d find in any catalog. It would look best on a well played instrument.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/high with plenty of wrinkles and just a few minor battle scars that would be located on the back side of your shoulder. There are also 8 lacing adjustment holes present which are almost always present on the old cinch straps.
Strap Notables Stitched just above where the heel button hole is located is an oversize leather Dunlop shaped guitar pick, which signifies absolutely nothing. Includes a custom set up to the buyers specs for length. Additional photos showing close details and a shot of the entire strap sent on request.
