Guitar/Banjo #2118

This one is a Tony Rice Style strap – and the Dunlop Pick model . Very strong and very supple latigo leather. It’s sturdy enough to hold an electric guitar but would look best on a well played acoustic.

Strap Leather Originally this was the strap that held the saddle and accompanying rider firmly on the horse’s back. Over many years it has been tugged and pulled as tightly as possible transforming it into a soft and supple piece of leather. It was a tad too thick so I skived the thickness down to a heavy 1/8”. I slicked the backside but latigo leather will not slick as smooth as harness leather so this one will resist sliding on your shirt a bit. It would look best on a well played instrument.
Strap Distressed Level Medium/high with plenty of wrinkles, color shading and general wear.
Strap Notables Stitched to the strap just above where the heel button hole is located is my Dunlop shaped leather guitar pick insignia, which signifies absolutely nothing. Includes a custom set up to the buyers specs for length and back end attachment points. Additional photos showing close details and a shot of the entire strap sent on request.
