Very soft and supple harness leather. Excellent quality and well used. Fully dressed and burnished around the outside edge. Made from the best part of an old saddle strap that attached to a two prong buckle.

New artificial sinew hand sewn into hand punched needle holes.

Medium/high. Well broken in with a very noticeable vintage character. A couple of battle scars but the leather is still in great condition.

| Shoulder Piece Notables |
Slotless shoulder piece. No strap slots are cut into the shoulder piece allowing the full bottom surface area to contact the shoulder. Hand shaped rounded ends and lined wall to wall on the bottom with new suede leather. I punched the buckle adjustment holes thru the suede for a little ventilation when the jam gets too hot.

| Strap Style |
Western roping rein with hand-twisted braiding. The braiding is 34” long and when finished some of the braiding will be visible in front of the shoulder piece and some behind it. To make the braided section, the leather was cut into 3 strips and hand twisted somehow into the braid by the original craftsman. I’m a banjo player and not near smart enough to do this. The end of the braiding looks the same on the end you can’t see as it does on the end shown in the photo.
