12 1/2" long by 2 3/4" wide in the middle and tapering to 2 1/8” on each end. Hand shaped rounded ends and fully dressed and burnished edges.

Hand cut from a larger piece of vintage leather. I designed this pattern from an old pulling collar and the curved shape is symmetrical so it would work equally well for a left or right handed player. If you’re a southpaw, be sure to let me know. Otherwise I’ll set it up to cross the left shoulder for a right handed player. The shape would prefer a heel button attachment but would do OK with a headstock loop. All edges dressed and burnished. The strap guide keeps the rein strap centered on the shoulder piece. Lined on the bottom with new suede leather.

Butter soft, supple and well broken in vintage harness leather. Skived comfortably thin with original hand dressed and burnished top edges. I dressed and burnished the bottom edges and slicked the bottom smooth.

Medium. Strong and rock solid leather but has acquired some shallow surface checking in spots.
