Shoulder Piece Size 12" long by 2 1/2" wide where it will cross your shoulder. Tapers to 2” on the back end.
Shoulder Piece Leather Thick and butter soft harness leather. This was formerly a mule fender used in the late 40’s early 50’s. Now I’m not a dirt farmer but I’d guess a mudflap of sorts. It is in remarkably nice condition and the leather is absolute top shelf stuff.
Shoulder Piece Stitching Artificial sinew hand sewn into my hand punched needle holes.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level Low. No issues I can see.
Shoulder Piece Notables The curved shoulder piece favors the left shoulder of a right handed player. The slightly curved shape would work fine for a headstock attachment if needed. Lined with new suede leather on the bottom.
Strap Style Western Rein
Strap Width 7/8“
Strap Leather Thick, soft and supple. Skived to reduce the original thickness to 1/8“. with hand dressed and burnished edges and a slicked smooth bottom. Top shelf, high quality leather.
Strap Distressed Level Low. No noticeable nicks or scrapes. Some color shading and dark spot.
Strap Notables Fits tight in the strap slots and strap guide and nothing will slide without intentional help. Includes a full setup to your specs for length and attachment points. Standard or Pickup buttonholes will be punched directly into the 7/8“ wide strap.
