Mandolin #341

A highly distressed strap that any Lloyd Loar would die for. I suspect you don’t have one of those but if you’re choppin’ on a diamond in the rough, this might be the one you’ve been waiting for. Killer vintage character.

Shoulder Piece Size No shoulder piece.
Strap Style Old cinch strap. Thoroughly cleaned and reconditioned, with a respectably grizzled attitude.
Strap Width Varies between 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" wide and long enough to finish up at maximum length of 53” from the very end of the scroll loop to the button hole.
Strap Leather Soft, supple and tough as nails latigo leather. Originally this was a cinch strap that held the saddle and accompanying rider firmly on the horse’s back. Over many years it has been tugged and pulled as tightly as possible transforming it into an incredibly soft and supple piece of leather. Lightly skived to the proper thickness to seat perfectly on a standard end button.
Strap Distressed Level Beautifully high on the right instrument. Maybe not so much on a new one. Surface checking and an overall very distressed character.
Strap Notables This one is already fitted with a non-adjustable 3/8" wide headstock or scroll loop skived thin enough to pass around a tight scroll if necessary. The other end will get button holes punched into the strap at the lengths requested. Close up photo of the leather diamond on the front end sent on request.
