Mandolin #446

This is a heavy duty strap made from an old pony rein with a hand twisted braid. The braided section is 3/4“ wide and would certainly be classier and more comfortable than a piece of paracord.

Status Available
Shoulder Piece Size No shoulder piece.
Strap Style Western Pony Rein (close up photo sent on request). The braided section is 32" long and located in the middle of the rein strap.
Strap Width About 5/8" across the flat sections and 3/4" across the braided section.
Strap Leather I think this is chrome tanned leather which is slightly harder than harness leather. Most mass produced guitar straps and belts are made with chrome tanned leather. This piece is broken in, very flexible and crazy strong and you’re not gonna wear it out.
Strap Distressed Level Medium with an age darkened character. The leather is in great shape although the strap would certainly prefer an older mandolin
Strap Notables One end is already set up with an adjustable (+/- an inch or two) headstock or scroll loop. The loop could be run under the fret extension on an A style if needed. The other end will get a matching vintage leather button tab finished to the buyers specs for length and buttonholes. Maximum length possible would be 53” measured from the very end of the loop to the longest buttonhole.
