This one is made with an English Petite hand laced rein. The old ones this size are rare and hard to find and this is one that I recently purchased. Historically these were used by the ladies riding side saddle at the royal gatherings. One day it could be worth millions. Till then, you can store it on your mandolin.

Shoulder Piece Size	8 1/4" long by 1 3/8" wide.
Shoulder Piece Leather	Butter soft harness leather. I’d describe the color as well aged and slightly faded black.
Shoulder Piece Stitching	Artificial sinew, hand sewn into hand punched needle holes.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level	Medium. Well aged with no serious or noticeable issues.
Shoulder Piece Notables	The shoulder piece is held firmly to the rein strap with the two strap guides allowing the full bottom surface to contact your shoulder. Dressed and burnished edges and lined wall to wall with new suede leather lining on the bottom.
Strap Style	English Petite hand laced rein. The hand laced section is 17” long and, when finished, some of the hand lacing will be to the front of the shoulder piece and some to the rear.
Strap Width	1/2"
Strap Leather	About 3/16” thick. Very soft and supple, high quality English leather. Original dressed and burnished edges and original smooth bottom.
Strap Distressed Level	Medium. Great shape and well broken in.
Strap Notables	No attachment points have been added so all mandolin options are available.
