Guitar/Banjo #2285 SOLD

This one is a Tony Rice style strap and a dandy. A heavy duty strap and a pure delight on a hot picker’s guitar. There’s already a front buttonhole that fits perfectly snug on a standard button. The existing original buckle adjustment holes start 14” above the buttonhole and are spaced 3” apart, continuing to the other end.

Status SOLD
Shoulder Piece Size No shoulder piece.
Strap Style Western saddle cinch strap.
Strap Width 1 3/4"
Strap Leather Brutally strong and very supple Latigo Leather. Originally this was the strap that held the saddle and accompanying rider firmly on the horse’s back. Over many years it has been tugged and pulled as tightly as possible transforming it into a very soft piece of leather. I lightly skived it to level out the thickness at 1/8” and the backside has been slicked smooth.
Strap Distressed Level Medium. Age darkened and color shaded. There are no nicks, cuts, or scrapes present.
Strap Notables This one has earned the leather “Dunlop Pick” insignia, which, as you likely know, signifies absolutely nothing. Includes a custom set up to the buyers specs for length and attachment points. When adding the end buttonholes, I should have no problem working around the existing buckle holes. Additional photos including a shot of the entire strap sent on request.
