This is an “older than dirt” relic and there’s not much to it. But the instant I paired the two pieces of vintage leather, it was evident they belonged together like maple syrup and sourdough pancakes. I knew anything else I did would be out of place. This one is really all about the leather and the strap finding the right instrument.

Shoulder Piece Size	8 3/4“ long and 1 1/4“ wide.
Shoulder Piece Leather	Latigo leather. This was part of an old saddle strap and it’s aged to a warm butter softness.
Shoulder Piece Stitching	None. Would have killed the mojo.
Shoulder Piece Distressed Level	High. Visually looks to have had one helluva previous life. Other than that, it’s in great condition.
Shoulder Piece Notables	There’s NO suede on the bottom of this one. The bottom is all history and has been worn quite smooth. The thickness is under 1/8“.
Strap Style	Western Rein
Strap Width	1/2"
Strap Leather	The finest vintage harness leather, totally broken in long ago. Soft, supple and a pleasure to handle. The thickness has been skived to a heavy 1/8” with dressed and burnished edges and slicked smooth on the bottom.
Strap Distressed Level	High. Matches the personality of the shoulder piece well and still in solid condition. I think it would still stop a horse.
Strap Notables	Includes a custom fit to the buyers specs. No attachments have been added yet so all options are open.
